Congratulations to Mr. Paul Bielema, Noel C Taylor's Teacher of the Year! Mr. Bielema has become a finalist for Roanoke City Public Schools.
October is National Bullying Prevention Month—a time to stand up, speak out, and make a difference. This month is all about raising awareness and stopping bullying in all forms, including online. It’s a chance for schools and communities to come together and promote kindness, acceptance, and inclusion.
Important Dates to Remember:
- World Day of Bullying Prevention – Monday, October 6: Wear blue to show you’re against bullying.
- Unity Day – Friday, October 24: Wear orange to support a safe, respectful, and bully-free environment.
Why It Matters: Bullying can have serious, long-lasting effects. This month helps everyone learn how to recognize it, prevent it, and support those who’ve been affected. By choosing kindness and standing up for others, you help create a school where everyone feels safe and valued
Real talk: being in class and being on time isn’t just about school—it’s about your future. Every time you walk through that door, you’re investing in yourself. You’re learning, building skills, and proving you’re serious about your goals. When you show up on time, you’re showing respect—for your grind, your teachers, and your crew. Success doesn’t wait, and neither should you. So be there, be ready, and keep pushing forward. Your time matters—use it like it does.
Red Ribbon Week hits every October to remind us to stay sharp, stay safe, and stay drug-free. It’s about making smart moves, looking out for each other, and keeping your future on track. Whether it’s through school events, music, art, or just real conversations, this week is all about owning your choices and showing pride in living clean. You’ve got goals—don’t let anything mess with that. Stay focused, stay strong, and rep your power.
